KUCHING: Twenty youths took part in a gamified career development training to enhance their work related skills here yesterday.
Organised by AZAM Sarawak, the half-day workshop was conducted using a highly competitive simulation board game that focused on guiding the participants in identifying critical career advancement skills, developing positive attitudes and proactive behaviours, including pursuing personal well-being and emotional balance.
The workshop was the second such training held by AZAM with the last one held last November.
The participants comprised youths, aged between 22 and 35, from the private sector, state government agencies, UCSI, MSU, the Sarawak Research Society, UNIMAS and Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd.
Led by Mohd Ariff Irwani who is chairman of the AZAM Youth Development Committee, the workshop was also a platform to promote volunteerism among the youth under the the AZAM Young Souls (AYS) programme.
AZAM youth volunteers are categorised into AYS Digital, AYS Communication, AYS Green, AYS Creatives and AYS Career Development to be aligned with Sarawak’s current development focus areas.
