KUCHING: Barisan Nasional (BN) will intensify its effort to win the seats in ‘grey’ and ‘black’ areas in Sarawak, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
“Not all areas are ‘white’, some are ‘grey’ and some are ‘black’. For the ‘black’ and ‘grey’ areas, we will put more efforts to win the seats,” he said at a press conference at Kuching International Airport after attending the ‘Pemimpin Bersama Rakyat’ programme in Simunjan yesterday.
Meanwhile, asked on the Anti-Fake News Act, the Deputy Prime Minister noted the law would be implemented right after getting the approval from the Yang Dipertuan Agong.
“It is not only for the government but also to take care of the people, because those who are being accused are not only the politicians but the public.
“Circulative news is depending on the interpretation of the practitioners, it is up to the court to decide either it is circulative news or fake news,” he added.
Earlier, Zahid has presented RM 1 million grant to four Chinese schools in the state namely SJK Chung Hua Batu 7 Matang (RM250,000), SJK Chung Hua Batu 11 Matang (RM200,000), SJK Chung Hua Batu 35 Serian (RM250,000), and SJK Chung Hua Syn San Too Kuching (RM300,000).
