KUCHING: The Sarawak Police Management Department chief SAC Datuk Zamani Tan Sri Hamdan who has served the police force for 41 years is calling it a day.
Zamani who retires on this June 7, yesterday handed over his duty to acting management chief ACP Norzanah Buang.
Sarawak Commissioner of Police, Datuk Azman Yusof who witnessed the handing over praised Zamani for his meticulous job and said it has been a difficult feat to accomplish for being in the force for 41 years.
Azman, a good friend of Zamani, said he and others in the force will miss Zamani. He noted that Zamani started as a Probationary Inspector and has served in several areas in Sarawak and other parts of Malaysia.
