KUCHING: ZUS Coffee kicked off its highly anticipated ‘Made in Malaysia’ Nationwide Tour at Vivacity Megamall here today, making Sarawak the first stop on this nationwide journey.
The bazaar features a range of unique Sarawakian vendors, including Natural Remedy, To Melt For, Elly Loe Handcrafts, Bricky Lab DIY, Themuq Natural Soap, Nutonuto_coconut, Daisy Dalia, Crustnflakeskch, Fuku-fuku, Puff.lab, Song Prettybell, and Nuvujewel.Official.
ZUS Coffee Chief Operating Officer Venon Tian said the event aims to highlight Sarawak’s innovative spirit and showcases ZUS Coffee’s dedication to creating both familiar and new beverages.
“We are excited to begin this nationwide celebration in Sarawak, a region known for its rich cultural diversity and home to 27 diverse ethnicities.
“The ‘Made in Malaysia’ tour is our way of honouring Malaysia’s traditions and craftsmanship while also embracing innovation to better serve the taste buds of our fellow Malaysians,” he said during the launching ceremony.
In addition to the local vendors, the bazaar also features a Kedai Runcit ZUS merchandise booth offering ZUS coffee-related products, including sachets and ready-to-drink canned coffee.
Ng Chun How, Business Lead of ZUS FMCG and Lifestyle said the company is focusing on innovation within its fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector that caters to Malaysian preferences.
“Our R&D teams ensure that products like our lattes reflect the familiar taste of Malaysian fresh milk rather than global profiles. We’ve already launched these products across 3,000 touchpoints in Peninsular Malaysia.
“We’re exploring innovative taste profiles and convenient formats for when customers can’t access our coffee chains. For example, our first sparkling coffee offers a light, soft drink-like experience but with real coffee extracts,” he said.
Ng said the product line will be available in East Malaysia by October.
ZUS Coffee’s ‘Made in Malaysia’ Nationwide Tour is expected to attract over 127,000 people nationwide.
